CanTracer device — a multifunctional universal device launched both in desktop- and in-car modes. complements the functionality of the CanTracer and has also some standalone functions.
Currently, the basic version of the CanTracer Device firmware performs the following functions:
- With the help of its "Gateway" function, the device will allow you to get access to the "comfort bus" (low-speed bus) units without using additional units or connect to them directly from the vehicle. More information on this feature see on our channel.
- High-speed standalone SD card logger for data collection from both FT-CAN and HS-CAN. This function allows to place the device in the car and record all messages from the CAN bus to which the device is connected. It is possible to monitor both HS-CAN and FT-CAN. The output data will be saved to an SD card (SD card adapter not included) in the Can Tracer log format.
- Player Mode is a separate firmware for the device, within which it is possible to launch one of the modules in the Can Tracer format
The device can be powered from both 12V DC and USB (micro-usb connector).
The functions of the device will be regularly updated, it’s planned to release new firmware that can be updated through the Can Tracer program and the free module "Cantracer Device".
